The Zambia Railways Human Resource and Administration Department is a unit that is designed to maximize employee performance in order to meet the organisations set goals. The department currently oversees a total staff establishment of 897 employees with 112 being female employees and 785 male employees throughout the system. It is headed by Director Human Resources and Administration: Mr. Clyde H. Siamachoka.
The directorate is responsible for Human Resource; Training and Development: Administration and Industrial Relations functions. The directorate also has representation in the four regions and the Main Workshops through Human Resource Officers who ensure the management of all employees in their jurisdictions is well coordinated.
The department takes pride in ensuring that employee’s welfare is maintained by creating a safe and healthy work environment suitable for its operations.
