SUSPENSION OF PASSENGER TRAINS

In an effort to avert the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID19) amongst the passengers, Zambia Railways Limited has suspended passenger train services till further notice.
The suspension of passenger service came into effect on 6th April, 2020 in consultation with the Ministry of Transport and Communications as well as the Ministry of Health.
ZRL operates the passenger trains between Kitwe and Livingstone, and Livingstone and Mulobezi, with each train carrying between 900- 1000 passengers and stopping at 75 railway stations.
