EDITOR’S NOTE:
A runaway train is a train that starts moving on its own and cannot be controlled or stopped, usually because of brake failure, a mechanical problem, or being accidentally released. It may keep moving and even pick up speed until it gets off the track or is brought under control by a train crew.
