Zambia Railways Limited would like to warn members of the public that some unscrupulous fraudsters purporting to act on behalf of Zambia Railways Limited are sending mail to unsuspecting customers purporting to be Tender Solicitation documents for various Zambia Railways projects.

Others are using forged documents to solicit for money on the pretext that they have won a Zambia Railways tender.

Zambia Railways Limited has information that a number of individuals have already fallen for the fraudsters’ schemes and lost huge sums of money in the process.

Zambia Railways Limited would like to assure members of the public that the Police (including cyber crime experts) have been notified about these criminal activities and no effort will be spared to bring culprits to book.

In the meantime, all members of the public dealing or planning to do business with Zambia Railways Limited are advised as follows:

• Do not respond to any bid solicitation documents that come via e-mail or Social media before calling Zambia Railways Limited for authentication and confirmation

Note that almost all our tenders are initially posted in the Print media.

• Immediately report all suspicious documents and/or individuals to ZRL Police on phone No. 0950000267 /0968195182 or the nearest Zambia Police station
• Engage with the Zambia Railways Procurement Department on 0950010445 /0960912617 to acquaint your selves with the company’s procurement policy and bidding procedures.
