ZAMBIA RAILWAYS LIMITED (ZRL) HOSTS PUPILS FROM GREAT NORTH ROAD ACADEMY

Two hundred pupils and ten teachers from the Great North Road Academy Chilanga Campus recently toured Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) facilities on an educational tour at the Lusaka Railway Station.
The aim of the tour was for the learners to appreciate the history and role of rail transport.
The pupils toured ZRL facilities within the Lusaka Railway Station among them, the old steam locomotive placed at the Station and the Railway Station yard. The pupils also learnt about the different types of wagons and locomotives as well as train operations in general.
The pupils who had a short train ride could not hide their excitement of being on the train
The learners described the tour as insightful.
