CHINESE DELEGATION VISITS ZRL
A high- level Chinese delegation led by the Chairman of Anhui Machinery Group Company Mr Wei Zhang, and Mr. Yongsheng Wang, Deputy General Manager of CRRC Yangtze Group Trading Tongling Company accompanied by Zambia’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Ivan Zyuulu visited Zambia Railways Limited to discuss potential areas of interest and collaboration.
The meeting took place on Wednesday 2nd April 2025 at Lusaka Railway Station.
The Chinese delegation expressed interest in partnering with ZRL especially in the area of rolling stock.
During the meeting, ZRL Managing Director Eng. Cuthbert Malindi expressed the company’s desire to forge strategic partnerships to explore opportunities within ZRL as well as addressing capacity challenges in terms of locomotives and the track as key priority areas.
The delegation also toured the company’s Main Workshop in Kabwe.
