PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Manage the risk and compliance functions through the development, implementation and management of the company’s enterprise- wide risk management framework ensuring identification, assessment and mitigation of risks that could impact achievement of strategic objectives.
MAIN DUTIES
- Participate in the development and implementation of risk management framework.
- Develop, maintain and review risk register.
- Conduct and implement detailed risk assessments and ensure effective mitigation.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to integrate risk management processes into operational and strategic planning.
- Prepare risk management reports for internal stakeholders, management, and the Board Audit and Risk Committee.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risks to support informed decision-making
- Design and execute risk mitigation plans, including monitoring the effectiveness of implemented controls.
- Ensure implementation of all company policies and contingency plans for risk and liabilities control.
- Provide technical expertise on all risk matters.
- Investigate and report risk breaches and record agreed remedial actions.
- Participate in the development and monitor risk management plan for projects.
- Facilitate risk awareness and training/ sensitization workshops across the organization
- Support internal audits and follow up on action plans to address risk-related findings.

Academic /Professional Qualifications:
- Full grade 12 certificate (5 ‘0’ levels) with credit or better in Mathematics and English
- A bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g., CRMA, IRM) is an added advantage
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant position.
- Membership to a relevant professional body is a must.
